Popular Pastor's Girlfriend Shoots Him Dead Outside Her Home

Police charged a pastor's girlfriend with his murder after Pastor Brandon Parker was found shot dead outside her home early Saturday morning. 

"This is a terrible tragedy," Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said. He added later, "It's a domestic issue that escalated."

Parker was part of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia, according to the Macon Telegraph. The church's senior pastor is Rev. Jacob Parker. Brandon Parker is the grandson of late singer-songwriter Otis Redding. 

According to Rolling Out, it became obvious that Parker was going to become the leader of a church, she wanted to be the first lady. But some are saying that Parker did not want to marry Hubbard and the relationship reached a boiling point that resulted in tragedy.

Parker's girlfriend Tracia Yvonne Hubbard was charged with his murder over the weekend. 

"There was actually a history of domestic abuse that a lot of people didn't know about," Hubbard's niece Joslyn Clayton said. "She had broken bones and was on crutches a couple of months ago after he pushed her off a porch." 

Our thoughts and prayers go out with the entire family. ... It's just a tragic loss and situation," Tillman told The Telegraph. 

Tillman further said of Parker: "He was a young man that had his head on strong, and he was a passionate pastor. He eulogized my aunt at her passing a month or so ago. ... He was just a great young man and a great young pastor ... a young, dynamic preacher."
