Adam and Eve, the first humans, are expelled from the Garden of Eden after eating the forbidden fruit. They embody innocence, curiosity, and regret. The moment signifies the loss of paradise, the dawn of human experience, and the consequences of disobedience.

RECAP: TEN GIGANTIC MISTAKES CHRISTIANS MAKE
We had a great series last year (Oct 1 -Oct 10 2016). I decided to recapitulate it today for those who missed it, the theme was TEN GIGANTIC MISTAKES CHRISTIANS MAKE. As you read, identify your mistakes and make sure you correct them today
1 Praying with Grudges: The dictionary defines grudge as a resentment strong enough to justify retaliation. Christians! You have made a huge mistake when you pray to God with a resentment strong to justify retaliation. Your prayer may not be answered because grudge may block the prayer. That is the truth.
The Bible says ‘and when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them so that your father in heaven may forgive your sins (Mark 11:25 NIV). God can’t forgive you if you don’t forgive your trespassers.

The Grace of God
Bible Verse: But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me (2 Corin 12:9 NIV)
A certain poor man spent many years saving money to realize his dream of going on a cruise. When he finally saved the required sum, he bought a ticket. Knowing he could not afford the extravagant food on board, he took what he could afford—crackers and peanut butter.

Topmost Tree
![]() |
Italian Cypress in the Countryside of Tuscany, Italy |
In Genesis, we learnt, intriguingly, that God made trees not first because of any utilitarian value, but simply because God likes trees. True, they are ‘’good for food’’ but before that they are ‘’pleasant to the sight’’(Gen 2:9). Those who trust in the Lord are ‘’like a green olive tree’’ in God’s house (Psalm 52:8) and the beauty and wonder of trees makes them surprisingly erotic images in Song of Songs (2:3, 7:7-8)

I LOVE YOU
Do you know Christianity is all about love? One of the
Pharisees asked Jesus, which is the greatest commandment in the law? and Jesus
replied Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and
with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second
is like it, ‘’ love your neighbour as yourself’’

Five Overcorrection Mistakes Churches Make
The pendulum swings in churches.
The congregation does not like a previous direction, so they overcompensate with the next move they make. Often, the overcompensation becomes a more challenging situation than the previous state.
Here are five overcorrection mistakes I frequently see in churches:

Jesus Christ is Alive
Thousands of people go to church on Easter Sunday to hear sermons about the resurrection. But how many actually believe that Christ is alive?
The resurrection is the cornerstone of our faith – our faith is predicated on the belief that Jesus Christ not only died on the cross but that He rose from the dead. The first sermon ever preached at Pentecost was preached by Peter and it was a sermon on ‘The Resurrection’

8 Qualities to Look for in a Good Friend
Community is a big part of the life we live. And while some of us may have a bigger sense of community than others, the importance of having friends to confide in, spend time with and celebrate alongside is essential to living the community-based life Jesus has called us to.

Understanding The Subject Called Deliverance
Bible Verse: Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: (Colossians 1:12-13).
Deliverance is often referred to as ''Casting out demons''. Biblically, Deliverance is Salvation or Forgiveness of Sins (Col 1:13).The Bible tells us upon Mount Zion, there shall be deliverance (Obad 1:17). Mount Zion is a place in Christ (Heb 12:22). Deliverance has been missed out overtime with casting of demons. We don't pray, cast but preach deliverance.

HAPPY EASTER TOP READERS
Christ's Ressurrection should be celebrated every day, not just once in a year. At the same time, if you choose to celebrate Easter Sunday, you should not allow the fun & games to distract our attention from what the day is all about.

New Naija Slang: Baba God Answer My Call
Recently, Christians and Non-Christians have
been telling God to pick up their calls via words, songs and prayers. My friend (Gloria) told me that God has picked
up the Bread seller’s call ( Read the inspiring story here), I agree because
when God picks up your call, there will be a divine transformation which will
make the world notice you.
